We English-speakers tend to find a word, usually foreign, like it, use it, then over-use it. Know what I mean, Vern? Nyuck nyuck nyuck. It's only a cliche if you recognize it. On the other hand, with a half-million word vocabularly, we can talk about anything. The sad part is we don't.
