Is the expression "get over it" offensive?

so lunch was akward bc there is this girl jess i dont like sitting with us and just me and her dont like eachother. so on the bus, i was like "lunch was really akward today" to my friend and she was like "get over it thats what jess said" it really irritates me bc i was just having convo since we have nothing to talk about. she always says this but its annoying. if you were in my place would you get annoyed???thank sorry for it being so long:)
