Should I continue spending money to fix my car or at this point buy a new one?

Sounds like you are getting the runaround. The mechanics probably sabotaged your car, that is why so many problems are cropping up after you had some work done. Sell the car and get a new one with a warranty. Someone who is good with toyotas will probably buy your fourrunner and fix all the things the mechanics did to it.
